What's a chief technical analyst?! This sounds like someone's made it up. The credit market wasn't well understood: the mortgages were bundled up into a form where it was very difficult to price them and determine the risk. Also how do you hedge them? The sooner we whack the top rate up to 50% to scare them off and install a load of 5-year-old girls in the boardrooms the better. Bah.
