But I am so glad to have that one and NOT the DC version. I love the original and just think it is so vividly superior to ther DC cut. I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. I liked the movie much better when it was more like a Rorschach test. I was going through my DVD collection to get rid of duplicates awhile back, and I stupidly voted to keep the Donnie Darko director's cut instead of the original. This was because I hadn't actually watched the director's cut yet, so I assumed it would be "better." Now I'm kicking myself, because all of the decent "director's cut" scenes are on the original DVD as extras anyhow. Gah! YES!!! I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one who feels this way.
