I haven't really read widely enough to make a list. Russell, Hume, Feynman/Sagan, if they count...

I am imagining a book of Dr Who philosophy. Presumably it would involve:

1. Find attractive companion
2. Gaze from afar, while...
3. ...hating daleks and...
4. ...grinning.

Now I come to think about it, there are worse ways to live :-)

Never a fan of Grayling, trying not to sound snobbish he's a very popular philosopher. Not that that's a bad thing it's just...I don't consider him a philosopher really, more a mouthpiece for what has already been said many other places. Kierkegaard, now he was great! I would highly recommend you get hold of his books asap. One of my top seven people of all time! Here are the rest in no particular order...

Edgar Allan Poe
Slavoj Zizek
Arthur Rimbaud
Cormac McCarthy
Niels Bohr
Knut Hamsun

Those before the enlightenment period miss out on the top seven I'm afraid. Scorates in at number 26. Einstein in at 11. Doctor Who in at number 1,924,578. (I don't ahare your enthusiasm, although since torchwood came out he's moved up a place.) Who are your top seven?
