Richard Hammond critically injured

Just seen that Richard Hammond is in critical condition after a crash during filming for Top Gear. I like him. He used to present a show called ‘Should I Worry About…’, and did a decent job of researching his topics and contacting relevant experts. He’s also a big science nut, or at least I got that impression when I heard Jonathan Ross interview him. I’m going to be nervous before checking the news tomorrow morning.

yeah, i was talking with ben about this last night, TopGear wouldn’t be the same without him, so I really hope he comes back from this! He is now seriously ill, but stable. He brings youthful exuberance to all the programmes he presents - in a way only Richard ‘the hamster’ Hammond can.

“The presenter, who works on Top Gear with fellow hosts Jeremy Clarkson and James May, grew up in Solihull, was educated in Yorkshire and lives near Cheltenham with his wife and children.”
Small world. Sad to see him injured.
