Google Earth is possibly the most impressive free application I’ve ever seen. Aside from the fascinating maps, the integrated local search and directions are great - all the info is overlayed onto the one map. There’s also an excellent flickr ‘network link‘ that links into geobloggers. Google have apparently pulled the download for a while, but you can get it over at majorgeeks.

I think it’d be end of my computer if I tried it out, but it looks reallyyyyyy fab =D
Lil - You’re right on both counts: You need a nice PC to be able to handle it, but it is AWESOME! If you’ve got 256+ megs of RAM, you should at least be able to fire it up and take a look at it.
that is cool, but want some key for upgrade
Hi All Experts,
Does anyone use google earth images as ground image planes for use in aerial scenes. I know how to stitch them together but are there any tools or tricks to make sure that the images are at the same height, angle and such to make sure they stitch well. I know in the pro version you can get bigger images but im not going to pay for the pro version when i could stitch multiple images together…
