An iTunes email just popped into my inbox, with a subject line that said ‘New War of the Worlds’. I was very excited. I saw an advert last week for the re-release of Jeff Wayne’s album, and I’d wanted it then. If I could buy it over iTunes, even better! It would be

I bought it a couple of weeks ago. Couldn’t resist it because… its a hybrid SACD with the whole thing remixed in 5.1 surround sound for those of us with an SACD player. (Feeling very smug about getting a DVD player with SACD capability right now)

I actually got it on Aug 13th - and the story starts on August 12th.

This years perseid meteor showers were on August 12th.
