Don’t Panic!

Just back from Hitchhiker’s Guide…I enjoyed it in part, but I don’t do reviews so won’t say any more. I don’t remember Trillian being quite so arresting in the books, mind - I think they were going for the young geek audience there :-) Hell, she turned up to a fancy dress party dressed as Darwin, clutching a toy beagle. I think I’m in love.

Ahem. It’s late; ignore me. I threw everything I had at the corrupted CF card today, but haven’t had any luck. I think I’m going to have to give up :-( Ah well, these things happen. At least it was just someplace I can go again (such a hardship) and nothing important like a wedding / birthday / badger-symposium.

Bonnie Tyler’s telling me that I should be going “faster than the speed of night”. How would one go about that, exactly? Would this help? Probably not, I’m guessing. Bonnie seems to be enjoying herself, though.

Can you tell I’m tired? Thought so. I’d best dash. Night!

Next time I go to a fancy dress party, I’m going dressed as Trillian dressed as Darwin. Just to totally confuse people. :D

Heh, that’d be funny! I can’t find my copy of the book to see whether that happened in the ‘original’ story. Invite me to that party, tho :-)

“that” being the entire fancy dress party - must remember to proof read before submitting :-)

It wasn’t in the original book, as far as I remember. But it was a cute scene. :) And still true to the spirit of the book, in any case.

Though to be fair, I haven’t seen all of the TV show or heard all of the radio show, so it might have been in one of those. hmm . . . I keep forgetting that the book isn’t the “original” in this case.

By all accounts Douglas’ original screenplay had a fair few new additions, and then another writer was brought in after his death, so who knows :-) I didn’t notice any scenes that were out-of-place - it all seemed very much in the hitchhiker’s vein. I really must find my copy, it’s been waaaay too long since I read it.
