I watched the final, and was glad to see Natasha won. As far as I can see from the voting in this, the only episode I have seen, the persons judges scores are reduced to a ranking and, given that they never showed the viewers votes, I presume that is reduced to a ranking too. These would then be summed and the winner decided. However, it was decided that in the event of a tie the viewers votes would decide the winner. Now, since there were two left, thats 2 points for the winner of each half and 1 for the loser. Thus, to tie the score you would need a win and a loss in each half. And then whoever won the viewers vote would be the overall winner. So, win or lose on the judges half the only thing that really mattered was the viewers votes. I am glad the audience voted sensibly, but it still makes me wonder what the point was? Aside from raising money for sport relief from the phone in...

Yeah, that was definitely the correct result :-)

You're right about the rankings, Simon. I hadn't really realised how it worked last week, and the whole thing seemed a bit strange. Like you said, the rankings meant that the judges votes were effectively pointless. It depends what the point of the show was, really. If it was to raise money for Sport Relief then it doesn't matter overall, but if it was even half intended to be serious (and it seems a little unfair to the competitors if it wasn't) then the final voting thing did take the edge off.

Oh well, I still think it was a cut above most reality TV because of the amount of work required. I even voted myself :-)
