Focussing through my binoculars, I’ve managed to spot Venus! My sister had the unenviable task of holding the binoculars steady while I tried to take a photograph. This one came out best, I think:
I saw it in the university parks in the end actually. My friend John insisted… I’ll see if I can get the pictures…. it was quite large…. but it was a bit dull
I couldn’t be sure it wasn’t dirt when the image was small, but when I moved the binoculars to enlarge it became much more defined. Also, it was in exactly the right place for the time
