Radio This Afternoon

I’m just listening to Steve Wright on Radio 2, and apparently Colin Pillinger will be on the show today. Colin’s the instigator and mission director of the Mars Express / Beagle 2 project and a supremely cool man, so it may be worth a listen if you’re free. The show finishes at 5 and can be listened to online.

Colin was articulate as ever, explaining exactly what the current situation is. I’ll probably, being obsessed as I am, put up a proper blog post in the next couple of days. It may seem that there’s barely any chance of receiving a signal now, but spacecraft have been lost for this long before, and the next big communication attempt has as much chance of succeeding as any since Boxing Day, really.
