I saw it this afternoon. I enjoyed it, but I still can’t understand how some people (like my sister) will want to keep going back to watch it. I think she has seen each of the other two films 3 or more times in the cinema. Its a good film, and I don’t mind long films, when they keep your attention which this does, but I would not want to have to endure 3hr+ performances frequently, specifically if its the same film over and over
Hehe I saw Two Towers 3 times at cinema - it’s cos the battle scenes are just so much better on big screen - and you can take in all those little details without concentrating on the story so much. One time was on an IMAX screen - I loved it for the details, but my friends didn’t understand the film at all cos we were right at the front and all you could focus on was a random orc in battle, or someone’s eye or something
