I'm beginning to wonder :-) I did see one in the Vodafone shop window in Solihull, but it was gone by a few days later...Maybe it only exists in 3d on the nokia website.

Orange do have a 200mins/500text offer for ?30/month, actually, but it's just not quite as good as O2.

Orange will match the deal though. (the deal has EQ at the start of it.) What you can do is start on the fifty pound contract and then go down to a cheaper one after three months... keeping the cost of the phone according to the original contract.

As far as I recall they don't match online deals. The best o2 offers are net only. If you instead check the non-web offers in the shop you will see that they aren't as good. At least that was true over the last year. Whether or not Orange changed their match system or o2 changed their contracts is not something I have looked into, nor am I likely to look into.
To my knowledge, a large number of us have moved back to o2 in the last year (i have always been with o2/bt) and my family is on o2. Therefore, it is most cost effective for me to be on o2 no matter what the perks of another provider is. In addition to cheap calls to the people I want to call the 500 free messages is one of the best perks out there, and the calls I do make are well served by the 100 free minutes.
These are my reasons for not looking for another service provider anyway. I state them only because if my recollection on the network migration of our friends is accurate then this will be of interest to Andrew I am sure.
