Yeah, i had trouble ordering my phone with o2. For some reason one of the settings in IE was blocking something and so the final order stage always failed. It went through at my then work tho, and a little tweaking got it all working. However, the last time i checked, a few weeks back, the upgrade page for contracts was not running, in fact the whole shop was down, and i have for the past few months been unable to even look at what upgrade options are available to me :( Not that there are any good phones out there. Let me clarify. The Nokia 8310, my current phone, was the best phone on the market at the time for me. It had huge battery life, it was a nice size, and had a number of good features, including radio (which i use all the time) and a huge message memory. Now, while many phones on the market are better than my phone, I can not see any which suit me the way the 8310 did. Its not worth the cost (if there is one), or the hassle (lacking cost complaints). Everyone has gone over the top with this camera bollocks. Ok, so i could have a phone which could receive them, but why would i want one which can send them. I do not wish to have a camera in my phone. Its a silly idea.

we tried to upgrade Kate's phone online but, despite having ordered it through the website, you have to phone them up.

I disagree about the camera. Admittedly there's no point paying vast amounts of money for no other reason than to have a cameraphone, but sending picture messages is good fun. For example, Ben spotted a poster last week with a piano concerto by 'Andrew West', so sent me a picture of it. Texting me wouldn't have had the same impact. Given that MMS is included with free texts on 02, so they don't cost silly money, it's that kind of fun thing that they're great for.

The 8310 is a cool phone, if you don't need any of the newer features there's certainly no reason to upgrade.
